Son Heung-min was rewarded for his one-goal, one-assist performance against Fulham.

The English Premier League (EPL) announced its weekly Best 11 for Round 9 of the 2023/24 season on Thursday.

Ollie Watkins, Chris Wood, Mohamed Salah, Son Heung-min, James Maddison, Douglas Lewis, Jacob Murphy, Ezri Consa, John Stones, Kieran Trippier, and Nick Pope make up the EPL's Round 9 weekly best 11.

Son Heung-min's name stands out. He put in a tremendous performance against Fulham to lead Tottenham Hotspur to victory.

Tottenham remained unbeaten and regained the top spot in the EPL after briefly losing it to Manchester City.

Son Heung-min started as a frontline striker, moving around and looking to score.

Heung-min opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a deflected shot, which paid off in the 36th minute.

After receiving a pass from Hischalisson, Son took a simple dribble before unleashing a right-footed curling shot that went in the back of the net. It was his seventh EPL goal of the season.

Son was not done. He picked up his first assist of the season when he set up James Maddison's goal with a deflected pass.

"Fulham were stunned by the brilliant way Son scored," said the British publication The Guardian. Micky van der Vaart's defense was equally impressive."

Son has been playing up front for Tottenham this season, and he's solved a lot of their problems.

His first goal of the season came against Burnley. He scored three goals to complete a hat-trick, ending a promising start.

It was the fourth hat trick of his EPL career against Burnley this season, joining Southampton (2020/21), Aston Villa (2021/22), and Leicester City (2022/23).

Against Arsenal, Son's multi-goal performance prevented the Gunners from losing and secured a valuable point away from home. He also scored his 150th goal for Tottenham.

Son was also hot on his feet against Liverpool. He opened the scoring with an assist from James Maddison and reached the milestone of 200 European goals.

Son's six-goal haul in September was nothing short of spectacular. He was rewarded with the EPL Player of the Month award. It's the fourth time he's won the award in his career, after September 2016, April 2017, and October 2020.

He also scored a goal against Fulham to take his Tottenham tally to 152.

Son's new soul mate, Maddison, also scored a goal against Fulham to make the weekly top 11.
